What is Save the Waves?

Save the Waves vision is a world where surf ecosystems are valued and protected, and where surfing provides a vehicle for long-term coastal conservation.This is achieved by the Protect, Steward & Defend programs.

Why they are Awesome

  • Saves the waves located 10 valuable regions for WSR and SPAN creation. They analyzed the number of potential surfing waves, biodiversity hotspots, ecosystem types, existing marine conservation laws, as well as on-the-ground capacity.
