What is Fish For Garbage?
Fish for Garbage provides opportunities for civic engagement and stewardship of waterways by hosting cleanups, educating about the harmful effects of riparian trash as pollution, and demonstrating the need for healthy ecosystem services.
Goals:
Generate a sense of responsibility to take care of the outdoor spaces we recreate in.
Empower volunteers and community members to take action by building community among individuals and groups that both use and manage waterways.
Inspire and train the next generation of watershed stewards by educating about the harmful effects of trash as pollution.
Promote water management and conservation best practices.
