What is The Homework’s of America?
Home Works of America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1996. To date, more than 40,000 volunteers have joined to repair homes of and bring hope to more than 2,600 homeowners, typically individuals are retired or disabled and living on less than $12,000 per year.
Volunteers include youth and adults, skilled and unskilled, from a variety of faith backgrounds and organizations. Repairs are done at no cost to homeowners and are funded by hundreds of individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
Our mission is to show God’s love through service to others by repairing homes of homeowners in need, assisting youth in their development, and empowering communities to meet the needs of their members.
