What is Houston Pets Alive?

Houston Pets Alive is a non profit organization comprised of animal loving volunteers that want to save lives. There are 1.2 million stray animals and two open-intake shelters in Houston. The goal of Houston Pets Alive is to create a partnership with the city and county shelter with a focus to increase live outcome through robust adoption programs, high-volume spay and neuter partnerships, political advocacy and community education.

Why they are Awesome

  • Houston Pets Alive and Astros Pitcher Lance McCullers, Jr. are excited to join forces to make Houston no-kill.

  • All of the pets were saved from the euthanasia list at a local shelter, vetted, and put up for adoption.
